Mrs. Cindy Kennedy

5th /6th Grade

B.A., California Lutheran University

Cindy Kennedy hails from California Lutheran University, graduating with Honors from the Education Department at CLU.  She went on to earn her California Teaching Credential from San Diego State University.  Cindy has taught at Grace for over 10 years.  Previous to teaching at Grace, she taught sixth grade in the Ramona School District and various other grade levels in the Escondido Union School District.

As so often happens, Cindy was led by God through her friends to Grace many years ago when she was looking for a school for her younger son, Will.   She quickly got involved at Grace and eventually was hired as a teacher.  Cindy feels it is a privilege to be a part of the Grace Lutheran School teaching staff.  Because of her love for reading and an interest in history, Language Arts and Social Studies are her favorite subjects.  However, she finds it very rewarding when students, grasping a math concept for the first time, have one of those “Aha!” moments.  Even more rewarding, Cindy believes teaching at Grace is a ministry and is a privilege to bring God’s Word into each and every classroom situation.

Cindy and her husband, Jeff, have raised two boys.  Their younger son, Will, attends California Lutheran University.  Drew, their older son, works for a capital management firm in New York City. She truly values those times when her family can spend time together.  In Mrs. Kennedy’s free time, you might find her reading, solving crossword puzzles, or cooking.
