Earlene has been teaching Kindergarten at Grace since 1989. Each year brings a new class of special children and their families into her life. She enjoys Kindergartners because they have such a love for life. They are like little sponges waiting to soak up learning and fun like only 5 and 6 year olds can. Earlene feels blessed that not only does she teach the children the beginning steps in reading and math, but she is also able to share Jesus with His little ones.
Earlene has also been blessed with a wonderful family—her husband, Doug, and two grown sons, Chris and Brian (both Grace alumni.) Chris, a teacher at Our Savior’s Lutheran School in Louisville, Kentucky, and his wife, Sue, have given the Franciks two delightful grandsons, Ben and Sam. Brian, a pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, Nebraska, and his wife, Tami, enjoy serving their church and community. Special times for Earlene include trips to visit family and time spent with her husband and friends as well as reading and scrapbooking.
